How would you change Samsung's Galaxy Tab 2 10.1?

How would you change Samsungs Galaxy Tab 2 101

Samsung's Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 retained a lot of the specs from its predecessor, with the company slashing the price to duck out of a straight fight with the iPad. In doing so, however, it found itself being bested by mid-range units from ASUS, Acer, and most damningly, the OG Galaxy Tab. Of course, if you've spent the last six months with this slate as your daily driver, then you might have found some other things to love and loathe about it. Let's imagine Samsung is listening, and tell them what you'd like to see in next year's version (aside from, perhaps, just buying a Nexus 10).

NFC and Android Beam

I have a friend who also has a Galaxy S2 and the other day, we were trying to share a pic through NFC, but we weren't able to. NFC and Android Beam is enabled, it doesn't seem like there's anything else to check, does it even work? We are both running the latest and Official (non-rooted) Samsung ICS release

?

Anyone has success or knows how to share through NFC, let me know.

This week in Charleston real estate

It was another busy week in the Charleston real estate market. The 261 homes that were reported sold this week brought October home sales to 896, well above last October?s 690 sales. What was surprising this year is that there were more home sales in October than in September because last year there were over 100 more sales in September than October.

Now I sure hope I didn?t confuse anyone with the above sentence but to clarify, sales usually trend down in the 4th quarter of the year as the focus turns toward the holidays rather than buying or selling a home. The strength of the Charleston real estate market is continuing to surprise everybody, buyers, sellers and?Charleston?real estate agents.

And for those of you who like to keep track of the backlog of homes under contract, as of this morning in the Charleston MLS, there were 1808 homes that are listed as contingent and 662 homes that are pending so that number just slipped a little bit below the 2500 + we?ve been seeing for a while now.

This week in Charleston real estate:

  • 292 new listings came on the market at an?average price of $309,158
  • 211 homes went under contract at an average price of $269,342
  • 261 homes were reported as sold this week in the Charleston MLS at an average price of $252,178

Statistics compiled by Howard Arnoff using the Charleston MLS as the source of data, information deemed reliable but not guaranteed.

10 Uses for Arm & Hammer Baking Soda - Around My Family Table

?

The holiday season is in full swing at my house, so that means it?s time to clean, clean, clean. ?Bake, bake, bake. And then clean some more. ?Some where in there I spend time with my family and friends.

However, I don?t tend to use harsh chemicals to clean. ?I?m not an?environmentalist?or anything, but with my asthma and my sensitive skinned kids, I made a decision a while ago to use less harsh chemicals when cleaning. ?I use a lot of steaming water, vinegar, and of course Arm & Hammer Baking Soda. ?Seriously folks, I use so much of it I buy the gigantic container at Costco.

So I?thought?I would share 10 ways to use baking soda to help you get ready for the holidays. ?And these don?t involve baking, even though I do bake with it all the time!

1. Clean your food prep area. ?I never thought to clean my counters with it, but this is a?brilliant?idea! ?Sprinkle A&H Baking Soda onto a damp sponge and wipe area clean. Rinse well and let dry. ?Perfect on counters, sinks, cutting boards, microwaves, wooden spoons, and more. ?Do you do this? ?I can?t wait to do it tonight when I clean up after supper.

2. ?Clean your disposal.? I do this all the time and I love how easy it is. ?In fact, this little cleaning method is what led me to start buying baking soda in bulk. ?And then I figured out other ways to use it years ago. ?Dump 1/2 a cup or so down your disposal and then top off with vinegar. ?Kids will love the bubbles, you have an instant science lesson, and a lovely smelling disposal afterwards. ?This really is my favorite thing to do with baking soda..just because the reaction is so cool!

3. Deodorize garbage can and litter boxes with a just a sprinkle of A&H Baking Soda. ?Or if you are feeling extra bored, wash those cans and boxes with a mixture of 1 cup baking soda per 1 gallon water. ?We use it in our litter box all the time, but adding to the garbage bag is a new one for me.

4. Wash your produce. ?Add a sprinkle to a damp sponge, scrub, and rinse OR add a sprinkle to a bowl of water for soft-skinned produce. ?Rinse well. ?I just saw on Instagram a bowl of really nasty water that you could not see through at all?it was the water after washing just one bunch of grapes. ?EWWWW.

5. Use it as Santa?s Footsteps! ?I just love this idea and you get a two for one out of it. ?It will clean and deodorize your floor/carpet while making Christmas magic for your kids.

6. Add a dash of A&H to your holiday drink concoctions to add some fun fizz and?pizzazz? ?Oh yeah! ?This was my favorite tip I ran across when researching for this post! ?I can?t wait to try it! ?Anyone try it? ?I?m dying to know how it works and what drink you put it in.

7.?Keep an open box in the fridge?to help keep all those holiday foods tasting fresh and keep strong flavored foods (onion, garlic, herbs, etc) from?transferring?to your delicate cookie dough. Okay, I know this is pretty basic, but it?s always a good reminder to replace the box in your fridge.

8. ?Use it to polish your flatware. ?Yes, we all just love this job! ?Mix a paste of 3 parts A&H baking powder to 1 part water, rub on the flatware with a?sponge?and rinse thoroughly and dry. ?It will impress your guests with little effort. ?If you have older kids?let them give it a try! ?I have to admit, I don?t think I?ve ever polished my flatware ?.it?s?probably?about time I do.

9.?Aw, what the heck?use it in your holiday baking. ?You know you want to bake a huge batch of cookies after all that cleaning!

10. After all that cleaning and baking, pamper yourself! ?Add 1/2 cup A&H Baking Soda to your bath for a refreshing soak, plus your skin will feel silky smooth when you?re done. ?I?ve done this a few times and it really is nice. ?I rarely get a soak, so when I do I take full advantage and totally pamper myself.

Disclaimer:?I wrote this review while participating in an Blog Tour campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Arm & Hammer and received product samples to facilitate my post and a promotional item to thank me for participating.

Reactions to everyday stressors predict future health

ScienceDaily (Nov. 2, 2012) ? Contrary to popular perception, stressors don't cause health problems -- it's people's reactions to the stressors that determine whether they will suffer health consequences, according to researchers at Penn State.

"Our research shows that how you react to what happens in your life today predicts your chronic health conditions and 10 years in the future, independent of your current health and your future stress," said David Almeida, professor of human development and family studies. "For example, if you have a lot of work to do today and you are really grumpy because of it, then you are more likely to suffer negative health consequences 10 years from now than someone who also has a lot of work to do today, but doesn't let it bother her."

Using a subset of people who are participating in the MIDUS (Midlife in the United States) study, a national longitudinal study of health and well being that is funded by the National Institute on Aging, Almeida and his colleagues investigated the relationships among stressful events in daily life, people's reactions to those events and their health and well being 10 years later.

Specifically, the researchers surveyed by phone 2,000 individuals every night for eight consecutive nights regarding what had happened to them in the previous 24 hours. They asked the participants questions about their use of time, their moods, the physical health symptoms they had felt, their productivity and the stressful events they had experienced, such as being stuck in traffic, having an argument with somebody, or taking care of a sick child.

"Most social-science surveys are based on long retrospective accounts of your life in the past month or maybe the past week," Almeida said. "By asking people to focus just on the past 24 hours, we were able to capture a particular day in someone's life. Then, by studying consecutive days, we were able to see the ebb and flow of their daily experiences."

The researchers also collected saliva samples from the 2,000 individuals at four different times on four of those eight days. From the saliva, they were able to determine amounts of the stress hormone, cortisol. They then linked the information they collected to data from the larger MIDUS study, including the participants' demographic information, their chronic health conditions, their personalities and their social networks.

"We did this 10 years ago in 1995 and again in 2005," Almeida said. "By having longitudinal data, not only were we able to look at change in daily experiences over this time but how experiences that were occurring 10 years ago are related to health and well being now."

The team found that people who become upset by daily stressors and continue to dwell on them after they have passed were more likely to suffer from chronic health problems -- especially pain, such as that related to arthritis, and cardiovascular issues -- 10 years later.

"I like to think of people as being one of two types," Almeida said. "With Velcro people, when a stressor happens it sticks to them; they get really upset and, by the end of the day, they are still grumpy and fuming. With Teflon people, when stressors happen to them they slide right off. It's the Velcro people who end up suffering health consequences down the road."

The results appear online in the current issue of Annals of Behavioral Medicine

According to Almeida, certain types of people are more likely to experience stress in their lives. Younger people, for example, have more stress than older people; people with higher cognitive abilities have more stress than people with lower cognitive abilities; and people with higher levels of education have more stress than people with less education.

"What is interesting is how these people deal with their stress," said Almeida. "Our research shows that people age 65 and up tend to be more reactive to stress than younger people, likely because they aren't exposed to a lot of stress at this stage in their lives, and they are out of practice in dealing with it. Younger people are better at dealing with it because they cope with it so frequently. Likewise, our research shows that people with lower cognitive abilities and education levels are more reactive to stress than people with higher cognitive abilities and education levels, likely because they have less control over the stressors in their lives."

While stress may be a symptom that a person's life is filled with hardship, it could also simply mean that the person is engaged in a wide variety of activities and experiences.

"If this is the case, reducing exposure to stressors isn't the answer," said Almeida. "We just need to figure out how to manage them better."

The National Institutes of Health provided funding for this research. Other authors on the paper include Susan Charles of the University of California at Irvine, Jennifer Piazza of California State University at Fullerton, and Martin Sliwinski and Jacquie Mogle, both at Penn State.

Love Of Family & Home: Happily Ever Before & After Week 10 ...

Good Morning Friends!! And Happy Friday to you all!!?

I hope you guys have had a great week!?

Do you have anything exciting planned for this weekend?!

We have quite a bit going on!! I'm planning on running in a 5K tomorrow morning & taking pictures for an adorable couple afterwards....hopefully I will have time to squeeze in a shower in between...I'm sure they would appreciate that!

My husband's aunt is also here visiting from Florida, so I imagine we will be hanging with her & my in-laws quite a bit this weekend! We also have family pictures this Sunday afternoon!! Praying that the boys cooperate & we manage to get some great shots! We haven't had family pictures taken since Griffin was a baby!?

I also have to figure out what we are wearing for pictures.....I am currently CLUELESS! Maybe I need to go shopping this afternoon! ;)

Have you had family pictures taken this fall?

Well, since it's Friday, it's time for another Happily Ever Before & After feature! This one is courtesy of my friend Becky at Organizing Made Fun. Becky & her family moved into a new home about 6 years ago & when they moved in, this was the current state of their family room....

Lots & lots of wood paneling!?

Becky was determined to turn her family room into a lighter, brighter space for her family. She said she wanted to make it feel like a "beach cottage." So, they painted the space a calm blue color, painted the ceiling & wood beams white, & replaced the floor with a engineered hardwood floor. She also painted the built-in cabinets white.

This is what Becky's family room looks like now.....

WOW!! Can you believe it's the same space?!

If this isn't a perfect example of what paint can do for a room, I don't know what is!! I LOVE that new white ceiling!!

Simple Ways To Locate Online Shopping Discounts ? | Home Town

You probably had no idea about all the very many facets of Ahh Bra when you set about to increase your understanding. Hey ? we are really not any different from where you are; so hopefully that will help a little bit.

You have a need for timely and accurate information, and it is our plan to provide it as much as possible. Even if you just pick up one thing that will help you, then it is totally worth your time. Of course you know there are challenges along the way, and that is true of anything you do or learn about.

If you are confident, then there will just be less that will intimidate you.

The internet provides us with an almost infinite variety of choices when shopping for anything. Saving quite a bit of money online is what you will typically do. Do your due diligence and find companies that are reputable before doing business with anyone offering a discount. The tips and strategies in this article will help you locate the best discounts websites on the net ? let?s begin!

Are you someone who loves to read books? The Internet can save you so much money! Purchasing e-books can actually save you money, especially if you have a Kindle or Nook. With the advent of smart phones, e-books can also be read. These types of books are easy to bring with you, and you can access nonfiction and fiction books at bargain prices. One of the best places to get public domain books is Project Gutenberg, a great source for free books online. You don?t have to get books like this. You can still find deals online from time to time. There are lots of other books that are discounted, and websites like Half.com offer exceptional deals, sometimes better than Amazon. Instead of buying an irregular retail store, you can get great deals online everyday. Our treatment of rhonda shear ahh bra in this article is not as comprehensive as it can be, but that is only because it is such as wide area of knowledge. More than anything else, analyze what all the main points are in terms of applicability. That is really in your best interest only because you know your situation better than anybody else. You will be best served if your knowledge is broad, and then you can fill in any details with further research. If you are really pressed for time, then choose quality information over quantity, always. So just find what ever spare time you have, and be sure you pay attention to the most important issues. At least until your knowledge is broader, try to determine what directly applies to you if possible.

Are you a college student? If so, you can save quite a bit of money on your textbooks and supplies. Many textbooks will cost several hundred dollars, which can put a damper on anyone?s budget going to college. Now, however, you can shop online for new or used textbooks and get them at much lower prices than at the campus bookstore. Large stores like Amazon will purchase old textbooks, plus sell them to you at discounted prices. If you have ever heard of the website eCampus, you know that you do not have to purchase your textbooks as you can rent them from this online company, As you can see, renting textbooks, or purchasing old ones, is a great way to save money each and every year.

While it can be convenient to shop online whenever you feel like it, you can save money by watching the calender. Doing holiday shopping too close to the holidays is never a good idea, whether you?re shopping online or at the mall. Don?t shop for clothes right before the season begins; instead, buy winter clothing in spring or summer for example. It?s also a good idea to see what different sites are offering as closeouts. You can sometimes get the best discount on items that are being discontinued because a newer model is available. Getting discounts online isn?t that different from other types of shopping, and many of the same tactics apply. Finding discounts when you shop online isn?t that difficult, especially if you keep the above suggestions in mind. Even if you see what seems like a good price, always compare it against a few others. Different websites may have very different prices for the same products, depending on what?s on sale at any given moment. If you?re not in a hurry, you may also want to look at prices over a period of a few weeks and see if anyone lowers them.

There are any number of things that can cause unique challenges any time you are trying to learn more about Ahh Bra or anything else. It is a little amusing about the internet in that so many ordinary people feel this great desire to create content ? we think it is great.

There is nothing unusual at all about conflicts between points of view and what people find in their own research. When you read about particular strategies for your online business, keep those points in mind as we are certain you will encounter this phenomena. After awhile you will become very adept at separating truth from fiction.
